<p>PURPOSE:To improve the response speed and reliability, by applying the solution of the solid proton electric conductor consisting of a strong acid such as p-toluenesulfonic acid and weak basic amine such as urea, triethylenediamine and a high molecular binder on an electrode substrate and forming a humidity sensitive film. CONSTITUTION:A solid proton conductor consisting of strong acid such as sulfuric acid, sulfonic acid, sulfonic acid derivative and weak basic amine such as urea, triethylenediamine, tetramethyl guanidine by adjusting the molar ratio of the strong acid to the amine to about 1.2:1 is dissolved together with a high molecular binder such as polyamide, acetylcellulose, urea resin, and the solution is applied on an electrode plate which is vapor-deposited comb-shaped electrodes 2, 3 such as gold on an alumina plate 1 and is dried to obtain a humidity sensor. This sensor has nearly no hysteresis and the response speed for humidity fluctuation is quick. Moreover, the characteristic variation is small, the interchangeability is very good and the reliability is high.</p> |
