PURPOSE:To obtain the plate for a lead storage battery which is restrained the depression of life caused by a deep discharge, by impregnating the plate, additionally, with a fluorine resin dispersion, said plate being already painted with a low density-paste which is prepared by adding fluorine resin to lead powder, water and sulfuric acid, then mixing and kneading. CONSTITUTION:Lead powder is added with water, nextadded with sulfuric acid to make a mixture, and fluorine resin is added with said mixture then kneaded well in process of kneading said mixture, in order to obtain a paste. An expand grid made of Pb-Ca-Sn system or the like is painted with said paste and the paste density after painted shall be less than 4.2g/cc. This plate is dried, then impregnated by means of dipping the fluorine resin dispersion then dried. By this process, the initial stage deterioration of the plate caused by a special deep discharge of the battery can be restrained, wherein said plate uses a highly porous formed resin-kneaded paste. |
