PURPOSE:To compensate a signal loss in a transmission line, and to transfer a signal of a proper level to a receiving point, by providing a level regulator on the transmission line, and adjusting a level of a television signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal level regulator 23 is provided on a transmission line of a television signal, and a controlling circuit 20 for varying a level of the television signal in accordance with a level of a pilot signal arriving through transmission lines 10 and 11 from a pilot signal generator 16 provided on a receiving point 12 is connected to this level regulator 23. In this state, in case when the pilot signal from the pilot signal generator 16 reaches the signal level regulator 23 through the transmission lines 10, 11 from the receiving point 12 in the direction being opposite to the transmitting direction of the television signal, the television signal is sent out to the transmission line at a level of magnitude for compensating in advance the extent of attenuation of the television signal in the transmission lines 10 and 11 between the receiving point and the level regulator 23 from the level regulator 23, in accordance with the extent of attenuation by which the pilot signal is attenuated in the transmission line. |
