PURPOSE:To achieve excellent recording/reproduction characteristics and to increase efficiency of erasion, by constituting a recording and reproducing magnetic head with high magnetic flux density ferrite and an erasing head with high permeability ferrite. CONSTITUTION:Hatched part shows high B ferrite and other parts indicate high mu ferrite. The junction of both ferrites is polished, the polished surfaces are opposed, and the surfaces are pressed with hot press. A central core 10 is made of composite ferrite. Since high B ferrite is used for a recording/reproducing core 8 and high mu ferrite is for an erasing core 9, excellent recording and reproducing characteristics are given to a medium with high coercive magnetic force by the recording and reproducing head, and a magnetic erasing head with good erasing efficiency can be achieved. |
