PURPOSE:To detect the distribution of luminance of surfaces of human bodies and materials and infrared rays irradiated by other heat sources and to detect their statuses, by using a detecting body having a plurality of reflecting surfaces, and conveying and detecting the reflected light from said reflecting body. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting surfaces, which are made of an aluminum evaporated film and the like and hardly absorbs infrared rays, are formed on the surfaces having a plurality of cut planes. As a point light source 1 moves in the X direction, the light beam 5 is sequentially reflected from condensers 13a and a plurality of the cut planes of the detecting body 12, and converged to the detector 9. Since an output signal 9a of the detector 9 is a periodic signal having undulation, the signal is sent to a frequency detector 11 through a preamplifier 10, and the status of the material is judged. |
