PURPOSE:To enable performance of later arbitrary heat treatment of an amorphous magnetic alloy thin plate magnetic core without deteriorating magnetic characteristic by winding an amorphous magnetic alloy thin plate as a magnetic core for various transformers or coils and then securing by a laser welding the wound end of the thin plate. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic alloy thin plate is first wound. The thin plate is wound in the prescribed number of turns on a winding core or a bobbin via an insulating layer or a coating between the known nonmagnetic alloy thin plates made, for example, of one or more of iron group transition metal elements such as Fe, Co, Ni, etc. and one or more of glassing elements such as Si, B, P, C, etc., and the longitudinal wound end of the wound thin plate is secured by a laser welding. In this manner, the shape of the wound magnetic core is secured, the magnetic core is then subjected to the prescribed heat treatment and then necessary surface treatment, and a wound magnetic core is then formed. According to this method, the shape of the magnetic core can be stably maintained under arbitrary heat treatment condition after securing the shape without deteriorating the magnetic characteristic. |
