PURPOSE:To enable the tool numbers of the tools held in a magazine to be discriminated easily and securely by a method wherein tool holders are provided with indications of each socket, and the tool number of each tool is indicated in correspondence to the socket number. CONSTITUTION:The tool holders H0-H23 are arranged along the outside peripheral part of a tool-storing magazine 12 while being accompanied by the respective socket numbers 0-23. A controller 30 for indezing control of the magazine 12 is connected with a memory 32, which rewritably stores the control data in accordance with the socket number. The memory 32 is connected to an operation display pannel 31 fitted to a side part of a column, and displays the tool number of the tool stored in each socket on a numeral display part 38 of the pannel 31. When the number of the tool stored in the socket is changed due to an exchange of the tool, the tool number in the memory 32 is also rewritten. |
