PURPOSE:To improve the anti-fogging property of the optical member by forming hydrophilic areas and hydrophobic areas on a base to be used for an optical member such as a window and a mirror. CONSTITUTION:Hydrophobic processing parts 11 and hydrophilic processing parts 12 are formed on the optical member such as a window or mirror consisting of an organic resin material or glass so as to be alternately combined like stripes. Although the hydrophobic processing parts 21, 31 can be formed like squares or islands, it is preferable to continue the hydrophilic processing parts 12, 22, 32. It is especially pre ferable to set up the area ratio of the hydrophilic part to the hydrophobic part to 1:4-4:1. Consequently, water is rapidly moved from the hydrophobic parts to the hydrophilic parts based on the difference of surface energy and is allowed to flow through the hydrophilic parts, so that a visual field similar to the sticking of water can be obtained as a whole. |
