PURPOSE:To obtain ornamental blocks of wide use engraved with various multiformed pattern by blasting shots from above or below or from left or right to stone blocks that are held between and moved forward by two conveyor belts. CONSTITUTION:Stone blocks 3 are held between conveyor belt surfaces 4a, 4a' and introduced into the passage of the pattern engraving device 1. With its front edge brought in contact with a stopper 11, the stone block 3 is held in position with its upper and lower surfaces facing the blank-cut patterns of the belt surfaces 4a, 4a' in adequate alignment, and then transferred horizontally held between surfaces 4a, 4a' of the endless belts which are circulated in a synchronized motion. The stone block 3 is bombarded with shots ejected from ejection holes 14 so that various multiformed pattern is produced on the exposed surface of the stone block 3. |
