PURPOSE:To improve operations for correction and etc., by displaying only input data of a part, which cannot be converted to Kanji (Chinese character), in a display mode different from that of a part which is converted to Kanji. CONSTITUTION:When Kana (Japanese syllabary) indicating the pronunciation of Kanji is inputted from a keyboard 5, a microprocessor 1 stores Kanji data indicated by an index of a dictionary in an RAM15 into an output buffer 15A. If the index corresponding to input data is not found in the dictionary, input pronunciation data is stored in the buffer 15A in the mode of Kana as it is. Next, an indication code of a low-luminance display is written in a display control buffer 11A of a refresh memory 11. The refresh memory is accessed by a CRT controller 7 and a refresh memory controller 12, and input pronunciation data in the buffer 15A and the part of Kana of a low-luminance display are displayed by a display controller 9. |
