<p>Waste thermoplastic fibres are subjected to Garnetting, then introduced in sliver form to a crimping box, where they are heat-treated under pressure to confer a suitable crimp. Pref. they are then cut to form the required staple fibre, and are used to form needled layers. The crimping treatment of the waste fibres provides improved properties for carding and needling.</p> |
