<p>The furnace consists of an outer shell (3) with a cover (2). A fuel charging tube (6) directs fuel to the base of the furnace in proximity to the air supply tube (4). The furnace burns solid fuel and the hot gases are extracted through a filter and a conduit (7) to a hot gas engine. The filter is situated at least 20 centimetres above the fire to prevent dust being drawn into the conduit.</p> |
