PURPOSE:A composition for the oral cavity, containing dextranase and an omega- amino acid or a derivative thereof, and capable of improving the preventing effect of carious teeth and pyorrhea synergistically. CONSTITUTION:A composition containing dextranase for preventing the formation of sordes on a tooth, and an omega-amino acid or a derivative thereof expressed by the formula (R is cyclohexane ring or n-C4H8), an alkyl ester or aryl ester thereof. Tranexamic acid or omega-aminocaproic acid is used as the omega-amino acid, and the amount thereof is in the range of 0.01-3wt%, preferably 0.03-1wt% based on the total weight of the composition. Dextranase is usually incorporated in an amount of usually 100-100,000 units based on one g dentifrice. The composition is used as a dentifrice, mouthwash, troche, chewing gum, etc. |
