PURPOSE:To wind a thread at high speed and easily spin the thread, by arranging spindle groups so as to cross at almost a right angle with the forwarding direction of the thread at a prescribed distance apart and movably providing a traverse device to the axial direction of these spindle groups. CONSTITUTION:Spindles 1..., 2..., paired to both sides, are set at a prescribed distance spaced in such a manner as to cross almost a right angle with the forwarding direction of a thread Y fed from the upper toward the lower. A traverse device 3, actuated by a cylinder 8 to perform traverse motion, is provided between the spindle groups 1, 2 at the both sides. Bobbins 11 are equipped in the spindle groups 1, 2, and allowed to alternately switch winding and waiting sides at each time of full winding. The traverse mechanism 3 is pivotally mounted with major arms 4, moved rocking by suitable means, corresponding to each spindle 1, 2, and there are equipped guide rollers 6, 6' to minor arms 5, pivotally mounted to an end of the major arms 4, and thread path controlling guide rollers 7, 7' to the traverse device 3, respectively. |
