PURPOSE:To realize conveyance at a constant speed by providing a conveyor with many rollers, each outermost layer of which is made of special plastic layer with characteristic of high hysteresis and has a hollow part in it, so that energy of motion may be absorbed by rollers themselves. CONSTITUTION:A roller 1 is equipped with a cylindrical shaft 2 and a tire 4 fitted to its outer side through a bearing 3. Further, the outermost layer fitted to the outer periphery of the tire 4 is made of ether base urethane layer 5 which is a special plastic layer with characteristic of high hysteresis, and a hollow part 7 is made in said layer 5 through providing urethane tubes 6 annularly. Then the roller 1 is installed on a pair of right and left crates in series or zigzag through a shaft allowed to pass through the cylindrical shaft 2. A gravity roller conveyor can be formed by arranging the abovementioned rollers in a row. Each roller itself absorbs the kinetic energy of an object being conveyed, thus a conveyance at a constant speed may be performed by this method. |
