PURPOSE:To accurately display the displacement of a detection part, by making it possible to immediately display data when the power source of a coil type gauge circuit is switched on. CONSTITUTION:A sensor resistor RS is provided to one arm among four arms constituting a resistor bridge, and coils RA, RB and a resistor element RC are respectively connected to the other three arms of said bridge to constitute a coil type gauge circuit 70 wherein an indicator is driven by changing the direction of the synthetic magnetic field formed by the coils RA, RB by changing the resistance value of the sensor resistor RS and the displacement level of a part to be detected is displayed. The potential increase and decrease circuit 80 connected to the circuit 70 forcibly increases and decreases the potential at one terminal of the sensor resistor RS so as to suppress the abrupt and large variation in the voltage at one terminal of the sensor resistor RS of the circuit 70. When the circuits 80 provides no signal to the circuit 70, the circuit 70 immediately determines the current distribution of the coils from the change in the resistance value of the sensor resistor RS to generate a synthetic magnetic field in a certain direction and, by this method, the displacement quantity of the part to be detected detected by the sensor resistor RS can be rapidly displayed. |
