Thin-walled tube made of a melt-spun synthetic polymer and having a flow cross section of 30 to 95% of the total cross section and an elongation at rupture of less than 100% is employed in an apparatus for transferring heat; the thin-walled tube can be beneficially modified by the addition of graphite, metal particles, filling material, stabilizers, additives, soot or pigments; or by other characteristics.
