PURPOSE:To improve deterioration of a sensitizing dye and to obtain an electrophotographic receptor enhanced in durability, by adding zinc oxide particles having adsorbed an alcohol-soluble phenolic resin together with said dye into the surfaces of the particles to the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:Zinc oxide particles having adsorbed an alcohol-soluble phenolic resin together with a sensitizing dye in the particle surfaces are contained in an electrophotographic receptor. A xanthene type dye, such as fluorescein, a triphenylmethane type dye, such as bromocresol green, an acridine type dye, such as acridine organic, etc. are embodied as the sensitizing dye to be adsorbed into zinc oxide. These dyes are usually soluble in alcohols, such as methanol and ethanol. Since the dyes have tendency to be adsorbed into the zinc oxide surfaces, they are first adsorbed into them, and the resin coats the outsides of them like capsules. |
