PURPOSE:To prevent the drop of washers of density smaller than that of molten steel into the molten steel by using said washers and holding a feeding sleeve by means of the whashers without allowing the head parts of rivets to project into a mold when the rivets are driven to the inside wall of the mold. CONSTITUTION:The height (h) of a feeding sleeve 5 of heat resisting characteristic is made longer than that in the conventional art and the part 5 thereof projecting from a molten metal surface 9 is set at roughly 1/3 the overall length. Such sleeve 5 is fixed to the inside wall of a mold 1 by driving rivets 6 in the projecting part 5a. The rivets 6 are made shorter than the length in the conventional art, and washers 7 are secured to the head parts thereof so that when the rivets 6 are driven to the inside wall of the mold through the sleeve 5 the projection of their head parts to the inside of the mold 1 is prevented. The washers 7 are made of a material of density lower than that of molten steel, for example, Al or the like. |
