PURPOSE:To render the operation of a microwave oven reliable, by converting input voice or speech into electric signals by means of a detachable transmitter- receiver, transmitting the electric signals to a speech recognizing circuit, and giving information to a user by converting the information into voice or speech signals while eliminating the influence of environmental noises. CONSTITUTION:With a wireless transmitter-receiver 10 detached from the body 1 of a cooker and a speech input button 10 being depressed, elements for setting a cooking program is input to the cooker by speech. The input speech is converted into electric signals in a transmitter-receiver circuit 30 and applied to a micro-computer 20 via a speech recognizing circuit 22. Then, the micro-computer 20 makes up a cooking program and starts indication and cooking. On the other hand, information during cooking is converted into audio signals and given from a speaker 50. Since, in the above arrangement, the wireless transmitter-receiver 10 is designed to be detachable and speech instructions are given by holding the same near the mouth of a user, influence of environmental noises can be eliminatd, so that the operation of the cooker can be rendered reliable. |
