PURPOSE:To prevent dice from breaking down owing to looseness in die fixation by providing an opening, which communicates with a compressed air souce through a pressure detector, in an interface between either of upper and lower dice and a moving or fixed plate to which it is fitted in a die device. CONSTITUTION:To a frame 1, a ram 3 which moves up and down through a driver 2 is fitted, and a sliding member 5 at the top of it is provided with a moving plate 6 where an upper die 7 is fixed with a bolt 9. A lower die 7a is fixed on a fixed plate 10 installed on a frame head surface 1a with a clamping bolt 9a. The moving plate 6 and fixed plate 10 have small-sized holes 11 and 12, whose tips are connected to pipes 13 and 13a which communicate with a compressor 17. During operation, if the fitting of the upper die 7 or lower die 7a is loosened a gap is formed between it and the moving plate 6 or fixed plate 10 and compressed air is blown from the small-sized hole 11 or 12, so that air compression in the pipe 13 or 13a falls. Consequently, a pressure switch 14 operates to stop the operation of a press machine automatically, thus preventing the dice from breaking down. |
