PURPOSE:To prevent short-circuit due to falling off of an active material in the peripheral area by applying a higher forming pressure to the peripheral area of a positive electrode than to the central area. CONSTITUTION:Manganese dioxide as an active material, acetylene black as a conductive material, and polytetrafluoroethylene as a binding agent are mixed at a predetermined ratio, and the mixture 9 is filled in a metal mold 10 so that a larger amount of the mixture is put in the peripheral area. Then, the mixture 9 is pressed and formed into a positive electrode 1. Or, after the mixture 9 is pressed and formed, only the peripheral area is pressed again to make it the positive electrode. |
