INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a medium which permits recording and erasing of information by providing guide grooves on the surface of a recording layer consisting of a polymer blend which can induce a state change between a compatible state and phase sepn. state by a temp. change and light absorptive material. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid contg. the polymer blend is coated on a film 15 by a coating means 16 in a coating and drying part 11 and a coated film is thereby formed when a rolled base film 15 is let off. The coated film is then dried by a drying zone 17. A stamper 18 provided with projecting parts to a spiral or concentrical circular shape is pressed onto the dry coated film of the polymer blend in tight contact therwith and the coated film is dried in this state in a stamper pressing part 12. The stamper 18 is removed and a recording layer 2 having the guide grooves is formed on the film 15. The coating liquid contg. the light absorptive material is then coated on the recording medium by a coating means 19 in a coating and drying part 13 and is thereafter dride, by which a light absorptive layer 3 is formed. The 15 is finally blanked to a disk shape by a die blanking means 20 in a die blanking part 14. The information recording medium having a desired shape is thus obtd.
