PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a shaft seal device, by partitioning a shaft seal chamber, providing an inlet and outlet of shaft sealing liquid, for internally cooling a shaft, in the respective partitioned chambers and allowing the shaft sealing liquid to inevitably pass through internally the shaft when the shaft sealing liquid goes out to the outside of the shaft seal device. CONSTITUTION:A shaft seal chamber 1 is partitioned by a separator plate 10 into two parts. Further a spring receiver 4 mounted to a rotary shaft 8 is provided in each of the partitioned shaft seal chambers 1, and an inlet 14 and outlet 15 of shaft sealing liquid are provided respectively in the spring receiver in each of said chambers. Still further a sealing member 11 is equipped in the separator 10 for the shaft sealing liquid in the two shaft seal chambers not to flow bypassing a route. Then shaft sealing liquid 6 incoming from a shaft sealing liquid inlet 12 is filled in the right side shaft seal chamber 1, further passing through the inlet 14 provided in the spring receiver 4, and filled in a space part internally of the rotary shaft 8, then passing through the outlet 15 provided in the spring receiver 4 in the left side shaft seal chamber 1 to fill said chamber 1, finally going out to the outside from a shaft sealing liquid outlet 13. |
