PURPOSE:To prevent gas leakage at pipings connecting gas fixtures with the container for propane gas etc. by such a construction that a shutoff valve blocks the valve seat at the upper flow side joint when the upper flow and underflow joints separate. CONSTITUTION:While the left end of the underflow side joint 13 in detainment with an intermediate cylinder 21 through a detainer piece 25 is pushing a shutoff valve 7, the high pressure gas flows to the underflow from a nipple 5 through gas passages 15, 17. When pipings to the gas fixtures separate from the container etc. because of occurrence of an earthquake etc., the underflow joint 13 will separate from the intermediate cylinder 21 against the tensile force of the detainer piece 25. In this condition, the shutoff valve 7 shifts rightward pressed by a spring 9 to make close contact with the valve seat 11 furnished in the left inside of the upper flow joint 3. Thus the gas passage is shut. |
