<p>The U-shaped clip (25,26) fits onto the tape (8) between the record/replay assembly (5) and each of the spool capstans (6,7). Limiters (19,20,3,35) are located on both sides of the record/replay assembly. The limiters allow the tape to pass but clamp and compress the clips on the tape (which clip is clamped depends on the direction of rotation of the tape).. A given place on the tape can be found automatically during rewinding by attaching the clips to the tape near the wanted place. The mechanism for attaching the clips is simple and easy to use. Their presence does not alter the general design of the cassette.</p> |
