<p>The sanitary towel comprises layers of absorbent material, wrapped in a permeable sheet, and an internal impermeable film. On the upper side nearest the user there is a thin cushion of large fibres with low capillary action, density, and absorbency. Fluid rapidly passes this to denser more absorbent layers, which include a super-absorbent pad which retains liquid even when pressure is applied. The whole is partially wrapped in an impermeable film which extends to the edge of the upper surface. Each is folded and packed individually in hermetically sealed impermeable film. Individual packs are re-packaged in tubular rapid-opening packs.</p> |
