NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (A is organic amine). EXAMPLE:ML-236B carboxylic acid t-octylamine salt. USE:Remedy for hyperlipemia. It is superior in effect of inhibiting the cholesterol synthesis in the liver to known ML-236B derivatives. PROCESS:The compound of formula can be prepared by saponifying ML-236B with a caustic alkali,dissolving the resultant ML-236B carboxylic acid alkali metal salt in an aqueous solvent (pref. hydrous acetone), adding 1-1.2 times mole of a mineral acid salt of the objective amine, and reacting at 5-10 deg.C and 7-8.5pH.
