<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thermochromic material which can cause a seemingly reversible photo-color change phenomenon and exhibits a quick recovery time, containing an electron-donating color-developing org. compd., a phenolic hydroxyl group-contg. compd., an alcohol and an infrared absorber. CONSTITUTION:A thermochromic material contains an electron-donating color- developing org. compd. (A), at least one compd. (B) selected from a phenolic hydroxyl group-contg. compd. and a derivative thereof, a carboxyl group-contg. and a derivative thereof, at least one compd. (C) selected from an alcohol, an ester, a ketone, an ether, an acid amide and a carboxylic acid, and an infrared absorber (D). Examples of said electron-donating color-developing org. compds. are Crystal Violet Lactone and Malachite Green Lactone. Examples of said infrared absorbers are compds. of formulasIand II wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 are each alkyl; X is C, O, S; Me is Ni, Pd, Pt.</p> |
