PURPOSE:To prevent an operation mistake caused by the misconfirmation of characters, by using a function that tells the operating sequence to an operator by using the illumination lamps of the key switches on a keyboard in a prescribed sequence. CONSTITUTION:An electronic cash register includes a keyboard 3 comprising numerical keys and function keys, a display means 4 that displays each of the numerical keys and function keys in a recognizable way, and a memory 1 that stores the operating sequence of the numerical keys and function keys plus the supplied information. In addition, a control circuit 2 is provided to work in accordance with an operating procedure stored in the memory 1 and to indicate the operable key following the numerical and function keys through the means 4. |
