A continuous casting mould is produced by forming an alloy layer consisting mainly of Ni and containing >=1 of Fe and Mn in a Cu alloy mould cavity surface, and heat treating. The mould's heat is treated at 300-500≦̸C. That is, in the continuous casting mould of a copper alloy having a nickel layer plated on the mould cavity surface, wherein the alloy layer of nickel containing oneof Co, Fe and Mn and 3-5 mm thickness replaces the Ni layer. So, heat crack and wear resistance properties are improved.
