PURPOSE:To facilitate the measurement of the amount of leak from the pressure pipe and to make the countermeasure for the leak efficiently, in an atomic power plant and the like, by obtaining the length of leaking crack based on the load at the beginning of fall and the fallen load acting on the pipe and the like. CONSTITUTION:A stress sensor 4 is attached on an arbitrary point on the surface of the pressure pipe 1. The falling load is measured by the sensor 4 when the temperature of the pipe 1 is high. A temperature compensating metal fixture 6 is provided, and a stress sensor 5 is attached. The effect of the temperature is removed by the combination of the outputs of the sensors 5 and 4. The loads acting on the pipe 1 are measured by the sensors 4 and 5. Thus he external load when the leakage occurs from the crack, the load at the falling, and the load after the falling are measured in the intact state. Therefore, the angle and depth of the crack can be obtained by measuring the external leakage load and the falling load. |
