PURPOSE:To make temperature measurement highly accurate and stable by transmitting through respective light wave guides two light waves that are made to interfere. CONSTITUTION:A temperature measuring device comprises a means 2 to divide into two light routes a light wave from a light source 1 that is readily made to interfere, light wave guides 3 and 4 for respective divided light waves, a means 5 to compose the light waves from the light wave guides, a sensor 6 to be sensitive to the degree of interference of light wave, and a means 12 to convert the change in the interference into temperature. The output of the sensor 6 is beforehand adjusted to a specified level, and a temperature table that corresponds to increase and decrease of the level is provided for the temperature conversion means 12. A temperature display output for an object 7 to be measured is obtained by comparing the interference level that changes by temperature with the table. |
