Control on a weaving loom comprises a detection device (A) sensitive to tension variations in the warp yarns, a positive drive device (B) for the unwinding warp beam, and a regulator mechanism (C) transmitting signals to a control device for speed variation of the beam shaft. A simple system of tension regulation is provided with very reduced variation of the average speed of beam movement.
