PURPOSE:To accomplish the warning of abnormality by sensing the sound of a gas escaped from a small hole housed near the connection in such a manner as to be decomposed at a specified temperature in an electric appliance which contains a conductor in a metal container sealed with an insulating gas of a gas breaker or the like. CONSTITUTION:A conductor 3 is supported with insulator by an insulative gas 2 such as sulfur hexafluoride SF6 gas in metal container 1. The connection 4 of conductors 3 has contactors 41 arranged on a circumference at an equispace and forms a contact section 42 with the conductor 3. Partition members 7 and 8 are provided along the inner wall of the conductor 3 in a tubular container 6 utilizing the end of the conductor 3, and a small hole 9 is run through the member 7 on the side of the end. The container 6 houses a sensitive substance 10 which is termally decomposed to released gaseous substances of CO and CO2 when the temperature exceeds the upper allowable limit. A highly sensitive microphone is provided as a sensor 11. Thus, abnormal temperature rise at the contact section 42 can be detected with the sensor 11 thereby preventing serious accidents. |
