The joint is of a multiple interlocking tongue and groove type, the tongues being pulled together by a transverse bolt to obtain a clamping effect. The building uses wall and roof panels mounted on a substructural post (P) and rail (B) frame. A typical post (P) has a round hollow section with radial 'T' section barrel ribs (10,11) at regular intervals. Triple tongue (16,17,18) assemblies fit into rail (B) end pockets (15), and the individual tongues enter separate but adjacent post barrel grooves (12) to make a joint. A transverse bolt (24) is used to clamp the tongue assembly between the pocket (15) walls (13,14) and to clamp the central pair of post ribs (11') between the tongues.
|
