The cable (1) is provided with a cable sheath (2) in the form of a corrugated tube, and connecting elements are located between these. Each individual connecting element contains a body (5) fastened to the cable (1) and means (8) for connecting this body (5) to the corrugated tube (2). The outside diameter of the body (5) fastened to the cable (1) is smaller than the smallest inside diameter of the corrugated tube (2). The body (5) consists of two shell-shaped segments which are attached to the cable (1) in a shear-resistant manner by means of screws (6). The outside of the body (5) is provided with spring-loaded detent bodies (8) which engage into the corrugation of the sheath (2). By means of the said connecting elements, the cable sheath is kept at a distance from the cable. Within the cable sheath, the detent body (8) of the connecting element prevents the cable from sliding in one direction. <IMAGE>
