A hospital bed possesses a bed bottom frame 10 which can be raised and lowered and which is supported by a scissor construction 12 which consists of two shanks 13, 14 and which can be raised and lowered by means of a power component such as a reversible electric motor 28 having a piston rod 30 which can be driven forwards and backwards. The bed bottom can be raised around a transverse axis 20 which is supported by one of the shanks. A crank arm 22 is provided with a rotating arm 27 for raising the bed bottom when the crank arm is rotated. A linking arm 23 is attached to the crank arm and has a longitudinal guide 25 for the upper end of the other shank and the end of the piston rod. In the upper end position of the scissor construction, a latch 31 can be used for coupling the linking arm and the piston rod together. Reversing the driving direction for lowering the scissor construction then simultaneously results in the bed bottom being lowered. <IMAGE> |
