<p>The cable grip for supporting electric cables without a carrier cable includes a block in which the conductors of the cable may be gripped. The block has a central core (3) sliding within an outer casing, gripping the conductors between the core and casing. The core (3) has a tapered hole (7) bored through its centre. The metal shaft (6) by which the grip is to be supported extends into this tapered hole, with a washer (8) attached to the end of the shaft. The washer has an outside dia. between the two diameters of the tapered hole, so that it is gripped within the hole. The metal shaft extends to a curled hook (6a) by which the cable is supported with an additional washer (12) around the shaft (6) covering the smaller end of the hole through the core.</p> |
