The piezoelectric unit for a record player head comprises a module slidingly engageable with the head by movement generally coaxially with the head and by the engagement of cooperating flanges. A stirrup which carries a needle is engageable with the module by sliding relative to it in a vertical direction. The stirrup has flanges which cooperate with the lateral faces of the module. The flanges extend along respective sides of the stirrup and are interconnected by cross members extending perpendicular to the needle axis. The module carries the piezoelectric system which connects with the needle carried by the stirrup.
