The clutch release bearing includes an operating member (10) which is intended to be subjected to the action of a clutch release fork (11). The operating member is made of synthetic material. For supporting the clutch release fork, a metal support element (17) is provided which is disposed axially between a transverse flange (14) on the operating member and a driving element (12) which acts on the clutch release device. The flange (14) has passages (18) providing access to the support element (17) for the clutch release fork (11). The support element comprises a flat washer.
