PURPOSE:After they have been steeped in a sodium chloride aqueous solution, barely grains are dried with hot air to produce uniformly grown malt of high activity. CONSTITUTION:Barley grains in a bag are dipped in an aqueous sodium chloride and washed with water prior to germination. Then, they are drained and dried. After repetition of these operations twice or thrice, malt is prepared in accordance with a usual method. This process is applied to the production of malt for beer, whisky or starch syrup. |
