MANUFACTURE OF PERMANENT MAGNET EXCITING TYPE STARTER OR LIKE AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE:To fix a magnet to a yoke automatically by the extended part of a magnet cover by a method wherein a press is operated with a magnet cover and a magnet being fitted to the punching part of the press and to the upper plate of th lowr die of the press respectively and with the yoke being sandwiched between the upper and lower dice. CONSTITUTION:The upper die 6 of a press has a punching part 6a and a lower plate 6b. The lower plate 6b is guided against a spring 6d by the first guiding rod 6c and the sec guiding rod 6e is also provided. Elastic substance 6f such as urethane rubber is provided to the bottom of the punching part 6a and a magnet cover 5 is fitted to the punching part 6a including the elastic substance 6f. A sliding piece 6g with a spring presses and holds the magnet cover 5. An upper plate 7a of a lower die 7, which is used as a yoke guide, is held and guided against a spring 7c by a guided rod 7b. A stopping table 7d has a center hole on its upper surface. And a supporter 7e to prevent the magnet from falling down and a stopper 7f are also provided respectively.
