A snow-retaining means for roofs comprising corrugated roofing slabs (9) has a fastening part (1), with a hole, and a snow-retaining part (2) which is arranged transversely to the fastening part, projects from one side of the fastening part and is reinforced by webs (3). The snow-retaining means is screwed, together with the roofing slab (9), on the roof battens (10) by a wood screw (5), there being provided, between the head of the wood screw and the fastening part (1) and between fastening part (1) and roofing slab (9), in each case a sealing member in order to prevent the penetration of water. <IMAGE>
