A panoramic wall for model scenery, in particular for model railway systems, is described, wherein the individual partial panoramas (11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20), which can be connected depending on the format and image design, have folding pockets (23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29) which extend in the horizontal direction and are open at the side, and wherein the folding pockets extend over the entire width of the individual partial panorama. The individual folding pockets have a predetermined, specific depth. A panoramic wall composed of numerous partial panoramas is thus provided which can be compiled individually by the model-builder without manual skills. When constructing a partial panorama (21) with the aid of various details (30 to 33), firstly the background is designed from various details (30 or 31) and then the central area and the foreground are designed stepwise by insertion of the details (30 to 33) in the individual folding pockets (23, 24 or 26 to 29). As soon as the final design is clear, the details (30 to 33), which have been inserted in the folding pockets, are finally fixed. This is preferably done by glueing them onto the partial panoramas (21, 22). In this case, the positioning of the details (30 to 33) in the vertical direction does not cause any difficulties. The correspondingly ready-cut details are inserted in the individual folding pockets down to the stop. <IMAGE>
