The roller cutter includes one or more cutting rollers, a raisable and lowerable roller motor-driven carrier arm with trunnion and a gear unit housed in the roller. The roller cutter loader travels on a chain scrape conveyor in a mine. The trunnion is a hollow spindle (6). The drive motor is fastened in it, with the drive shaft (5) coaxial with the swivel axis (4) of the carrier arm (2). The raising and lowering device for the arm is a swivel drive unit (7) engaging the hollow spindle on the outside. This provides optimal momentum distribution in relation to arm swivel.
