A description is given of a rear-wheel dérailleur for a bicycle which has a holder which is guided in a laterally movable fashion by a parallelogram linkage and on which a frame, which supports chain-deflection wheels, is pivotably mounted. Using a Bowden cable-actuated switching cam, the holder can be laterally displaced in order, by this means, to laterally displace the chain. The switching cam and a deflection pulley which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner thereto and on which the cable of the Bowden cable engages, are arranged on a pin which, at the same time, is the link pin of the parallelogram linkage. By rotating the switching cam, the parallelogram linkage is pivoted by way of a lever which is mounted on another pin of the parallelogram linkage.
