The apparatus is intended primarily for enamelling the inner and outer surfaces of pipes. The apparatus includes a drying chamber, which is designed in the form of three vertical coaxially arranged tubes, to be precise an outer tube (1), a middle tube (2) and a central tube (3) with autonomous feeding of the heating air into one tube in each case. The central tube (3) and the middle tube (2) are provided in their upper part with bores (14, 15) and form an annular working space (7) of the chamber. Movably arranged in the working space (7) is an annular guide rest (8) for the pipe (20) to be treated, which is movably accommodated inside the central tube (3). The counterweight (11) takes the form of a turned-over bush with radial ducts (13) in its wall. <IMAGE>
