Markings of a cutter roller are provided on the printed web which is moved by a pair of rollers. Two inlets or outlets of the differential mechanism are fixed connection with one roller or one pair of rollers. An additional driving movement is fed via the third inlet connected to a hydraulic motor. Adjustment of web sections between the marks is actuated by the output of a controllable pump feeding the motor.
