<p>PURPOSE:To protect vanes for storm through shutting of a drafty door and lessen the wind resistance in a large wind-force prime motor by accommodating the wind wheel in a cylindrical support framing. CONSTITUTION:A self-rising cylinder with its top made in blow-through construction is provided with two or more vent holes 8 in the wall 1, and a rotary shaft 9 installed at the end wall 1 of this vent hole is fitted with a door 10. A horizontal wind-collecting plate 11 is installed at the cylindrical wall in the upper and lower positions of each door 10. Accordingly, the rotary vanes can be protected against storm etc. by shutting the drafty doors 10, and this cylindrical construction of support framing will offer less wind resistance to reduce the wind force which the framing must bear. Thus a firm supporting mechanism is obtained.</p> |
